On Sunday, September 4, five employees from Mungenast St. Louis Honda will help fund raise in the Muscular Dystrophy Association's 46th annual Labor Day Telethon.

From 8-9pm, Business Development Manager Shan Herwig, along with four other staff members from St. Louis Honda, will answer phones during the televised event, which takes places in several cities nationwide.

Honda to redesign Accord next spring

For the first time in three years, the Honda Accord is expected to undergo a complete transformation next spring.

According to egmcartech.com, the 2013 Accord will be slightly smaller and narrower than the current version.

The website also says Honda might axe the V6 engine because a new hybrid systemcould be added to the 2013 Accord, which would differ from the Accord hybrid that's already on the market.

Each July, when pine trees sprout on showroom floors and holiday decorations line the walls of Mungenast dealerships, the Automotive Family gives back to the community by feeding the hungry.

For the last four years, the Automotive Family has held "Christmas in July," an event where Mungenast employees donate canned food to the St. Louis Area FoodBank. Employees also raise money for the organization through yearly and monthly payroll deductions.

In an effort to decrease the number of traffic-related deaths, Mungenast St. Louis Honda is teaming up with the St. Louis County Public Safety Department to sponsor the second annual Safe Driver Program.

California Cracks the Whip on Hybrid Special Treatment

There was once a time when the state of California allowed all yellow-stickered partial-hybrid vehicles on designated HOV areas of California state highways - regardless of the number of passengers.
