2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Breaks Cover, Set to Arrive This Autumn

August 16th, 2016 by

A year and a half ago, when the Civic Concept Coupe debuted at the New York Auto Show, we learned that not only a new sedan was in the cards, but also a coupe, hatch, Si, and Type R were America bound. Now, the five-door model has officially debuted in production guise, and we’re here to tell you all about it.

Looking sportier than its already hatch-like sedan sibling, the new five-door carries the eye-catching looks of the sedan forward. It will be offered in six trim grades, with the bottom half offering the 1.5-liter turbo with 174 hp, while the top half get the 180 hp tuned version. According to our preferred automaker, the Civic hatch will boast class-leading interior volume (yes, that includes cargo volume), and the same infotainment system and ergonomics as the sedan. Color us fifty shades of stoked!

Want to get more information about the hatch? There will be plenty of information to come over the coming months ahead of its launch. When it drops into our Honda dealership in St. Louis, MO this autumn, you can come by for a test drive.
